Plants are a fantastic addition to any catio. They are a surefire way to increase stimulation and happiness in your feline family members. Just make sure that the plants are non-toxic to cats by checking the ASPCA website. Here are some great choices:
Thank you for this list of plants! I am just now looking on things to add and it is super helpful. I am going to plant a Confederate Star Jasmine which is non-toxic–on the outside of the Catio to provide some shade. I was going to add Clematis but after checking on it I found out it is very toxic, so a definite no.
